Overview of the NWSL and Its Member Teams
The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is the premier professional women's soccer league in the United States. Established in 2012, the league has grown rapidly, featuring some of the best female soccer players from around the world. The league's mission is to promote women's soccer, provide a competitive platform for talented athletes, and foster the growth of the sport at the grassroots and professional levels.
As of 2023, the NWSL comprises 12 teams, including well-known franchises like OL Reign, Portland Thorns, and the North Carolina Courage. The league has expanded multiple times, welcoming new teams from different regions, but as of now, Denver Summit FC is not listed among the official NWSL member clubs.

It is important to distinguish between the various tiers of soccer in the United States. How Teams Join the NWSL
Joining the NWSL is a complex process that involves several key steps:
- Application and League Approval: New teams must submit an application demonstrating financial stability, operational plans, and community support. The league reviews these applications thoroughly.

Given these requirements, Denver Summit FC is still in the developmental stage and has yet to fulfill the criteria necessary for league entry.
